The Tanners House, Strasbourg

The Maison de Tanneurs, or house of the tanners, is one of the most recognizable buildings in the Petite France area of the historic city center of Strasbourg, France. Windowboxes full of brilliant red geraniums contrast with the dark wood and white stucco of the half-timbered building. The building is situated at one of the locks on the canals. The entire center of the city has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage site because of its significant, well-preserved medieval architecture.
