| Moloaa Beach on Kauai was the site of the well known television comedy Gilligan's Island. The show ran from 1962 to 1966, for a total of 98 episodes. The pilot episode was filmed in 1963, but was not aired until 1992. We visited the beach on a stormy January afternoon. Today all traces of film crews and actors is long gone, all that remains are a pristine beach ringed by cottages, many of them available for weekly or monthly rental. | |||||||||||||||||||||
