South Window, Arches National Park, Utah

South Window, Arches National Park

Layers of Entrada and Navajo Sandstone can be seen in the strata that make up the South Window in Arches National Park. Differential erosion created the fantastic shapes that characterize this area of Utah. In spite of over 100 degree heat, tourists enjoy hiking up to get a closer look at the formation.
