Silves Cathedral

The Cathedral on top of the hill in Silves, Portugal

Built in the 15th century and extensively restored following the earthquakes in the 18th century. The South Portal and the Bell Tower are Baroque additions from the renovations. The apse and the windows are made from local red sandstone (grés de Silves), which contrasts with the whitewashed walls.
