The main tower of Seri Wawasan Bridge, one of the signature bridges of Putrajaya, Malaysia. The very modern design of the bridge draws its inspiration from a sailboat. It comprises a single span of 240m long supported by stay cables anchored at the other end to a forward leaning concrete pylon. A combination of cable backstays and structural steel tie backs in two planes provides equilibrium to the structure. The concrete bridge is designed to carry dual three-lane carriageways, cycle track and pedestrian walkways. This bridge opened in 16 April 2003
