Northern Shoveler
The Northern Shoveler (Anas clypeata) is a strongly migratory bird, wintering in warmer climates than its favoured breeding range. It enjoys broad, shallow marshes where it can use the comb-like teeth along the edges of its large spatulate bill to strain aquatic animals, plants, and seeds from the water.
