Unlike most natural bridges, this one in Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah was not formed by a stream. It is more accurately described as an arch, or geologists prefer the term window. It was carved by both rain and frost erosion, acting from the top of the rock. Eventually the cap, the harder rock on the top of the arch, will fall into the canyon below, and new hoodoos will have been created. |
