Born in the UK, raised in Toronto, Canada, I was given my first camera at the age of 10. While on overseas assignment with my husband, I was able to return to photography and learn digital imaging techniques.
I completed the City & Guilds Photography courses, earning “distinction” in each course, and was subsequently enrolled as a Licentiate of the Royal Photographic Society. I joined Epsom Camera Club in 1999, and was Chairman for one year before returning to Canada in 2003.
For 3 years I was an active member of the Foothills Camera Club in Calgary, Alberta. We have now moved to the USA. After a brief stay in Upstate New York, where I joined the Twin Tier Camera Club in Western New York State, I am now located in Houston, TX.
I am still an active member of Twin Tiers, participating in the program by slide show. So far this year my contributions have been an introduction to color management for photographers, and a travel program on Europe and England. Later this spring I will offer a presentation on Photoshop CS3, and I am hoping to make innovative use of Skype to permit live participation.
Currently we are getting ready to spend a significant amount of time on the other side of the world, in Malaysia. I am looking forward very much to some exciting new photographic opportunities.
