Louise Heusinkveld
Born in the UK and raised in Toronto, Canada, I was given my first camera at the age of 10. While on overseas assignment with my husband, I was able to return to photography and learn digital imaging techniques. My work is now entirely digital, from capture through to final output. I work with a Canon 7D and a Canon 50D, and a selection of Canon lenses.
I completed the City & Guilds Photography courses, earning “distinction” in each course, and was subsequently enrolled as a Licentiate of the Royal Photographic Society. I joined Epsom Camera Club in 1999, and was Chairman for one year before returning to Canada in 2003.
For 3 years I was an active member of the Foothills Camera Club in Calgary, Alberta. We have now moved to the USA. After a brief stay in Upstate New York, where I joined the Twin Tier Camera Club in Western New York State, I am now located in Houston, TX.
I am still an active member of Twin Tier, participating in the program by slide show. Some of my contributions have been an introduction to color management for photographers, a travel program on Europe and England and a presentation on Photoshop.
I have recently completed a six part series of articles on basic photography for a local magazine.
