Hoodoos
Located between the Rockies to the east and the Purcell Range to the west, the Columbia Valley is known as the "warmer side of the Canadian Rockies". The area hosts more than 260 species of migratory and non-migratory birds. Bald Eagles and Osprey nest in the valley. The Columbia Valley wetlands covers an area of more than 64,000 acres and is the longest continuous wetlands remaining on the continent. These sandstone formations, locally known as "The Hoodoos", tower above Dutch Creek at the north end of Columbia Lake.
