Hellebores are increasingly popular in gardens for the earliest spring flowering. Many new hybrids are being developed from the old fashioned Christmas Rose, and Lenten Rose. The nodding flowers above green and bronze foliage appear in clumps as early as December, other hybrids may flower in late March and even early April in some climates.
