West Stables, Dunham Massey Hall and Park, Cheshire

historic stables with fallow deer grazing

A fallow deer grazes in front of the West Stables, Dunham Massey Hall and Park, Altrincham, Cheshire, built in the late 17th or early 18th century. Although it appears at first glance to be a harmonious whole, the building was apparently constructed in two parts and at different times. A careful comparison of the stone arched door frames, and the timber mullioned windows, clearly shows the two parts of the old brick building.
