The Terrace at Cliveden House, Berkshire
Once famous for the lavish parties given by Lord and Lady Astor, Cliveden House is now a luxury hotel and a National Trust property. Many remember the scandal when John Profumo, a Cabinet Minister, had an affair with Christine Keeler, a showgirl who was also involved with the Soviet attache. The terrace offers guests a wonderful view of the Berkshire countryside and the Thames below.
