Chinese Pond Heron (Ardeola bacchus)
Chinese Pond Heron (Aardeola bacchus). Found throughout Asia, including India, the Chinese Pond Heron frequents wetlands and other shallow water, both fresh and salt water. This wading bird is usually found near ponds and flooded fields. Chinese birds migrate to the Malay peninsula and Borneo from September through April.
