Bow Falls
An adventurous canoeist watches as Bow Falls pours over limestone ledges. The falls are a popular scenic spot near the famous Banff Springs Hotel, in Canada's Rocky Mountains. The Bow is a tributary of the South Saskatchewan River, rising from Bow Glacier and Bow Lake in the Rockies, and eventually reaching Hudson Bay through Lake Winnipeg and the Nelson River. The Bow is now a world class trout fishing destination after a truckload of fingerlings was accidentally released into the river in 1925 and have since thrived and multiplied.
