The Kennet and Avon Canal connects Bristol and the Severn Estuary with Reading and the Thames River. The scenery is varied, this stretch reminded me of roads in the European countryside. I liked the way the sunlight created patterns of light and shade across the towpath. In the distance you can just see a red narrowboat, moored to the bank of the waterway. This photograph was taken in the early morning in mid-September, 2006. |
