| Amaryllis is the commonly (and quite incorrectly) used name for Hippeastrum bulbs, very popular for growing indoors in wintertime. The plants are very rewarding to grow, quickly reaching 12" to 30" in height, and then two or more enormous flowers open. This was a stunning specimen. The petals are almost translucent in the sun from the window behind. | ||||||||||||||||||
