| There are many different members of the family of alliums, including the familiar and tasty kitchen onions and the indispensable garlic. There are decorative alliums for the garden. Flowering after tulips and daffodils are finished their show, their huge purple globe heads make a wonderfully architectural addition to the late spring border.
